Privacy Policy

Updated October 20, 2026

This policy describes how tutti, developed by Alex DeLeon, handles information when you use the iPad and iPhone chart reader, the optional tutti Library Mac companion, and this website. For support or privacy questions, email tutticharts@gmail.com.

Your charts and library

tutti stores downloaded and imported PDFs, setlists, chart metadata, and app settings on your device so you can use your library offline. Your own cloud provider stores source files you choose to keep there. The app does not send your chart library to a tutti-operated server and does not include advertising or third-party analytics SDKs.

Google Drive

Connecting Google Drive is optional. With your permission, tutti requests read-only access to your Drive files. This permission is broader than a single folder; tutti uses it to browse folders and download PDFs from the chart folder you select. It reads file and folder names, identifiers, file types, and revision information to find charts and check for updates. It does not upload, edit, or delete Drive files.

Downloaded PDFs and the metadata needed for sync are stored on your device. Authorization tokens are stored in the device Keychain. Drive requests and downloads go directly between your device and Google, rather than through a tutti-operated server. Google data is used to provide the chart-sync features you request, not for advertising, sale, or training AI models. tutti's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Dropbox and optional device reports

Connecting Dropbox is optional. tutti reads file and folder information and downloads PDFs from your selected chart folder or tutti Library book. Dropbox authorization tokens are stored in the device Keychain. Requests go directly between your device and Dropbox.

If you separately enable device reporting, tutti requests Dropbox write permission and writes status files to the Device Status folder in your Dropbox library. The permission is broader than this folder, but the reporting feature uses it to create and update device-status files. Reports include an app-generated device identifier, device name, book path and instrument, library identifiers, current and target revisions, verified PDF count, sync state, check-in and completion times, and an error description when a sync fails. Error descriptions may contain chart names or paths. People with access to the Dropbox folder may read these reports. Turning reporting off stops future reports but does not delete existing ones.

tutti Library for Mac

tutti Library reads PDFs and configuration in the library folder you select and writes book files, fallback orders, custom-book settings, and song overrides there. When this folder is in Dropbox, the Dropbox desktop app syncs those files under your Dropbox account. Library reads the optional device-status files from that folder to show your devices' reported sync state.

Band Sync and sharing

Band Sync exchanges information directly with connected devices on your local network, including device names and app-generated identifiers, song filenames, callout text, and session and readiness information. Recognized voice callouts may be sent as text to followers. Only join sessions with people you intend to share this information with. Setlists and bundled PDFs you explicitly export or share are available to the recipients you choose.

Microphone and speech

Voice callouts are optional and require microphone and speech permissions. tutti requests on-device speech recognition and does not use online transcription as a fallback. Support depends on the device and language. Live BPM also optionally uses the microphone to analyze tempo on your device. These features do not upload or save microphone recordings. You can stop listening in the app and change permissions in iOS Settings. tutti Legacy does not offer these microphone features.

Your choices and retention

You can use local PDF imports without connecting a cloud account. Disconnecting a provider in tutti removes its saved authorization tokens from the app; you can also revoke access in your Google or Dropbox account settings. Disconnecting does not automatically delete downloaded charts, source files, or existing Dropbox reports. Use chart-management controls for local imports and your cloud provider's controls for cloud files. Deleting the app removes its local app data; copies in device backups, exported files, and files shared with others are managed separately through those services or recipients.
